Inspiration In Cinema:

Gordon Willis’ work on The Godfather trilogy will forever be an inspiration to me. Some seriously cool work, and very different for its time. Willis wasn’t afraid to under expose, or keep things dark, or have no eye-light (a big no no in film school). The Godfather was him experimenting with just how far he could get away with underexposure. In an interview, he even admits to perhaps underexposing a few scenes a bit too much, but they still work for the film.

I keep tellin’ um godfather & THEY KNOW!                                                                    but this side of the fence got its own view on the things that make no sense at all. #Scenicville4evah
